Project content & Solutions
In view of the aging of the pumps in the machine room of Laird Electronic Materials Company and the fact that the efficiency of the actual operating points of the pumps would deviate far from the high-efficiency zone of the pumps, resulting in serious energy wastage, the technical team of Hengtong, after on-site investigation and evaluation, replaced the original energy-inefficient pumps with ARMSTRONG intelligent inverter pumps with reference to the original system design flow rate and installed a remote data collection system, which can remotely monitor the operation of the pumps in real time through computers and mobile phones.
ARMSTRONG intelligent inverter pumps have built-in PSPC control technology, which can control the start/stop and the number of pumps running to obtain the best operating efficiency, thus ensuring that the pumps operate at the best energy efficiency to achieve the required flow rate of the system while satisfying the system demand and achieving the maximum energy saving.

Benefit analysis
Economic benefits
The annual running cost of the original pump was $297,600 and the annual running cost of the pump after the renovation was $133,700. The annual saving in operating costs is $163,800.
Environmental benefits
It saves 62 tonnes of standard coal and reduces CO2 emissions by 154 tonnes per year.
Maintenance benefits
All data of the system is transmitted wirelessly to the cloud, so that the real-time status of the equipment and the history of individual parameters can be grasped in time. Other intelligent terminal devices such as mobile phones can also be used for all-round commissioning, operation, monitoring and energy efficiency management services of all equipment. The Henton cloud data platform monitors the operation status of the system in real time and has dedicated personnel to monitor it 24 hours a day.
Management benefits
Fully automatic energy saving control, reduced operational risk, labour intensity and management costs, less manning and improved system safety.
