Introduction:
Since the start of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, with policy-driven and endogenous market dynamics, BIM-based information technology in construction mechanical and electrical engineering has brought new growth points and empowerment for assembly development. In particular, the HVAC system-based assembly-type mechanical and electrical innovation has broken through the core technology, taking design standardisation, production prefabrication, construction assembly and management informatisation as the driving force, increasing the application of scientific and technological innovation in all aspects of assembly-type mechanical and electrical engineering, forming an integrated intelligent construction industry system, effectively improving and enhancing the environmental, social and economic benefits of construction mechanical and electrical engineering.
On August 16, 2022, the “2nd Annual National Conference on Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Innovation and Development of Assembly Building” was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, organised by the Assembly Building Industry Development Centre of China Equipment Management Association. The conference was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province for 3 days. As a participant of the standard “Engineering Technical Specification for Assembled High Efficiency Energy Stations” and a supporter of the conference, Li Meng Ke, General Manager of Tianjin Hengtong Refrigeration & Electrical Co.
With the theme of “Practicing the New Development Concept – Promoting High-Quality Development”, the conference is an in-depth discussion on the latest developments in the industry and the hot and difficult issues in the field, aiming to promote the construction of high-quality green buildings and the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. The participants hope to take this opportunity to discuss new opportunities for the development of the assembly-type mechanical and electrical market and to plan a new chapter of energy-saving technology for mechanical and electrical engineering.
New opportunities for the assembled building industry
The 14th Five-Year Plan period is a critical period for the implementation of the carbon peak and carbon neutral targets, and there are challenges and opportunities for the development of building energy efficiency and green buildings. In the first half of the year, the proportion of new green buildings in China exceeded 90% of new buildings, which has increased from 4 million square metres in 2012 to 2 billion square metres in 2021. At present, the proportion of new construction of assembled buildings in China has exceeded 25% of new construction area, and the total construction area of assembled buildings has reached 2.4 billion square meters.
In his speech, Mr. Niu Changwen, President of the China Facility Management Association, said that the development of assembled buildings is an important strategic support to achieve carbon neutrality in the construction industry in the implementation of the “double carbon” target and the digital empowerment initiative.
Wang Hongtao, director of the China Equipment Management Association Assembly Building Industry Development Centre, said that assembly electromechanical in assembly building and other green development policies driven by the implementation of double carbon and energy saving and emission reduction as the focus, increased the application of scientific and technological innovation in all aspects of assembly electromechanical engineering.
Promoting the integrated development of “industry-academia-research-administration
In order to promote double carbon work and the integrated development of “industry-academia-research-use-management”, the “Research Base for Building Ventilation System Science and Innovation” was officially inaugurated at the annual meeting. The base will further strengthen the integration of top-level design, scientific and technological innovation, industrial cultivation, technical standards and pilot projects, practice the new development concept and explore the path of high-quality development oriented to ecological priority and green development.
Wang Hongtao, director of the China Equipment Management Association Assembly Building Industry Development Centre, stressed that in the face of policy-driven and new market opportunities, the base development should grasp the frontier areas of pioneering opportunities, implement the key areas of the industry chain supply chain penetration project, establish collaborative research and development, product development, testing and verification and other ecological consortia, relying on the strength of experts and the continuous innovation of the base scientific research, to protect the chain and stabilize the chain.
This year’s conference also held an award ceremony for the assembly star who won the 2nd National Assembly Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design and Application Skills Competition.
The design and BIM application of the refrigeration system of the F2 Refrigeration Room Upgrade Project of SEW Tianjin Plant of Tianjin Development Zone Hengtong Refrigeration & Electrical Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of Star of Assembly in the Design Group and General Manager Li Meng Ke was also awarded the title of Technically Competent in Design Application.
In the forum, the participants discussed the application prospects and development direction of assembled M&E under the “double carbon” target through the analysis of the application and design of assembled M&E in low carbon buildings and other engineering cases.
Driven by industrial policies, industry development and the overall market pattern, Tianjin Hengtong will seize the opportunity to practice the new development concept, actively respond to the call for double carbon and energy saving, and help its partners to realize the transformation and upgrading of energy efficiency and green development.
